Photodermatitis, sometimes referred to as sun poisoning or photoallergy, is a form of allergic contact dermatitis in which the allergen must be activated by light to sensitize the allergic response, and to cause a rash or other systemic effects on subsequent exposure. It is distinct from sunburn.
ਫੋਟੋਸੈਨਸਿਟਿਵ ਡਰਮੈਟਾਇਟਸ (photosensitive dermatitis) ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੋਜ (swelling), ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ (difficulty breathing), ਜਲਣ (burning sensation), ਲਾਲ ਖੁਜਲੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਦਾਣਾ (red itchy rash) ਜੋ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਛੋਟੇ ਛਾਲੇ (small blisters) ਵਰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਚਮੜੀ ਦੀ ਛਿੱਲ (skin peeling) ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਐਸੇ ਧੱਬੇ (blotches) ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਖੁਜਲੀ (itching) ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
