Cherry hemangioma is a harmless, benign tumor and has no relationship to cancer. It is the most common type of angioma and becomes more prevalent with age, occurring in nearly all adults over 30 years.

Treatment
Treatment is usually not required, but lesions can be easily removed with laser surgery if desired.
